At 49 square meters, this press room was envisioned not as a simple functional space, but as an architectural statement. The goal was to elevate the standard format into something timeless — where form, light, and clarity of purpose create a setting worthy of diplomacy.
We reimagined the spatial rhythm by subtly shifting proportions: coffered ceilings were lowered for intimacy, while the lightbox above the podium was lifted to create visual depth and airiness. The result is a room that feels calm, balanced, and purposefully designed. Focused, diffused lighting frames the speaker with quiet elegance — softening the space while enhancing presence.
Every element serves a dual role: technical precision and visual restraint. A central LED screen allows for flexible use — from press briefings to private meetings or intimate screenings. The podium is mobile and equipped with a built-in microphone; acoustics are carefully tuned, with integrated ceiling systems that keep the space visually clean.
Materials were chosen not just for durability, but for their tactility and refinement — veneered MDF, washable painted walls, and modular carpet tiles for easy maintenance. Fan coils and blinds are fully concealed within window niches, and magnetic track lighting between the coffers allows for adaptable scene-setting.
In a room this compact, every millimeter counts. But it’s not just efficiency that defines it — it’s atmosphere. A restrained, thoughtful environment that quietly reflects the authority and elegance of the institution it serves.
